About DealABC
DealABC writes buying and gift guides for Chinese and Asian-American families in the US and Canada. Our readers include international students who just arrived, new immigrants, second-generation families shopping for parents and grandparents, and anyone buying for a household that cooks rice every day.
We started in Chinese. The English edition covers the same products with the same advice, for readers who are more comfortable in English or who share these guides with family.
What we write
- Gift guides, organized by who you are shopping for: parents, partners, kids, coworkers and friends, students, new parents.
- Best picks, organized by situation: the Asian home kitchen, North American winters, moving in.
- Comparisons for when you are stuck between two or three models. Each one opens with the verdict, then a spec table and who should buy which.
How we are different from deal sites
We do not chase hourly deals or print prices that go stale. Each article answers one question: which one should this person buy, why, and what should they watch out for. We cover the details our readers care about and big sites skip, such as whether an appliance works on China’s 220V power, whether it handles Chinese cooking, and whether it is easy for older parents to use.
