How We Choose
Every DealABC guide is written for a specific person: parents, a child, a student who just moved to North America. We work out what that person needs first, then look for products.
What we look at
- Long-term Amazon reviews, especially problems that keep coming up in one- and two-star reviews.
- Professional reviews and the specs manufacturers publish.
- How well a product fits Chinese and Asian-American households: Chinese cooking, voltage, size, and whether the manual or controls are easy for older family members.
- Warranty and how easy returns are.
What we do not do
- We never rank by commission. Order depends only on fit for the reader of that guide.
- We never say we tested something we have not personally used.
- We do not copy Amazon product descriptions or customer reviews. Every word is our own.
- We do not list prices. They change too fast; the buttons take you to today’s price on Amazon.
Updates
Every article shows the date it was last updated. We revise a guide when a product is discontinued, its reputation slips, or something better comes along.
